"Refund policy was stricter than I expected"
I was surprised by how strict the cancellation and refund rules were. I expected there to be at least a little flexibility if plans changed early, but it seems like you can still lose quite a bit. Normal life stuff comes up, and it didn’t feel like there was much room for that or much support. It definitely makes me hesitant to book with them again.

The place seemed clean for the most part, though I did notice a few dusty corners here and there. Not a huge deal, I guess, but it made me wonder if some spots get missed during cleaning

"Not worth the hassle for that view"
I was annoyed. The location wasn’t great, and after all that, the “view” was basically just a parking lot. Definitely not worth it.

"Nice enough stay, but maintenance was a letdown"
To be fair, the place had its good points and we were still able to enjoy parts of the trip, but our stay with Compass Resorts started off with maintenance issues right away. The AC was weak, a few things in the unit were broken, and it felt like no one had really checked the place before we arrived. We called to report everything, but the response was slow and mostly just, “we’ll let maintenance know.” A few things never got fixed at all during our stay, which was frustrating. When you’re paying that much for a vacation, you really don’t want to spend your time following up on repairs

"Photos were accurate, but it felt a bit tired"
The photos were mostly true to what the place looked like, so there weren’t any huge surprises. That said, my gut feeling when I walked in was that the place felt a little worn down and could really use a deeper cleaning. It wasn’t awful, but it didn’t feel as fresh or well-kept as I’d hoped.

"Nice facilities overall"
I had a good experience overall. The facilities were nice and well taken care of, which I appreciated. The only small downside was that the elevators were a bit slow at times, but it didn’t really take away from the stay

"Didn’t feel totally secure"
The place was okay, but I didn’t feel fully comfortable with the security setup. The locks seemed old, and the info about the security was a little unclear, if that makes sense.

We needed clear accessibility details, but there just wasn’t enough useful information to help us plan. It felt like we had to keep asking for basic things that should’ve been easy to find, almost like we were begging for help, which left me frustrated and resentful.

Not gonna lie, the info I needed for my stay was technically there, but using the online portal was more annoying than it should’ve been.
I had to poke around way too much just to find basic things like check-in details and payment info. A few pages were also slow to load on my phone, which made it extra frustrating when I was just trying to get quick answers.
It did work eventually, so it wasn’t a total disaster, but the whole thing felt clunky and unclear. For something you’re relying on during a trip, I really expected it to be smoother...

"damage deposit went fine"
i stayed with compass resorts and the damage deposit was handled smoothly. it wasn’t returned instantly, but it came back after a few days and there weren’t any random charges or annoying back and forth. overall, it felt fair.

"Pretty poor communication"
I had a frustrating time dealing with them. Nobody really got back to me properly, and I felt like I had to keep chasing for updates. Maybe they were short-staffed or just not very organized, but either way, the communication was really lacking

"A Bit Slower Than I Expected"
It took longer than I was expecting, which was a little frustrating. To be fair, everything did eventually get sorted out, but I think it’s reasonable to hope for a more accurate timeline or better updates along the way.

"Nice spot, but am I missing something?"
Stayed in Destin with Compass and overall it was okay. The condo was clean enough and the location was great, but am I missing something with how late the check-in info came through? We also had a hard time getting fresh towels replaced, which felt like it should’ve been simple. Not a bad stay by any means, I just expected things to run a little smoother for what we paid.

I’ve got mixed feelings, but mostly positive. The beds were really comfortable, and the room was nice and quiet at night, which made it easy to get good sleep all week. The pillows were a little too soft for my liking, so that wasn’t perfect, but overall I still slept well during our stay

"Barely slept the whole week"
I really wanted this to be a relaxing trip, but the walls were so thin I could hear the neighbors every night. They were loud pretty much the whole week, and when I tried to get help, it didn’t really lead anywhere. By the end I was more worn out than when I got there, which is kind of the opposite of what you hope for on vacation, so..

"House rules felt a bit unfair"
The place was fine overall, but some of the house rules felt one-sided. It seemed like guests could get hit with fees or penalties for every little thing, while there wasn’t much accountability on the rental side. At one point I was just thinking, give me a break. It made the stay feel more stressful than it needed to be.

"Decent stay, but felt a bit overlooked"
Booking was really easy and the place itself was fine, so no major complaints there. But once all the fees were added, the total ended up feeling high. For what we paid, I expected a little more. I also felt a bit ignored at times, like our experience wasn’t really a priority. It wasn’t a bad stay, just not the best value compared to other rentals we’ve booked...

"I booked a condo through Compass Resorts..."
I booked a condo through Compass Resorts, the privacy side seemed mostly okay. They asked for the usual stuff like payment details and contact info, and I didn’t end up getting a bunch of random spam afterward, which I appreciated.
That said, I’d warn people to pay attention to the cookie pop-up because the choices weren’t as clear as they should’ve been right away. I didn’t have any weird calls or emails after booking, so overall I felt fine about it, but I’d still recommend checking everything before you click through.
